Why do I do what I do-do?
I have tried many times to understand why I am working my ass off to get ready for an Ironman. I know my family wonders why I do it so I guess I have to wonder why also. When on a 50 mile training ride or a 15 mile run, there is a lot of free time to think about stuff. So I gave it a lot of thought one day and I came up with some reasons. None of them individually can answer the question but added together,, they might. Who knows.
So over the span of a few blogs, I will try to answer the mysterious question of "Why I work so hard to be an Ironman?"
Right off the top of my head, there are several reasons for doing this. I will expand on these over time but here is a short list of things I have thought about:
